Interview Types

Today job interviews are getting more and more of concern by the job freshers. They do not know what happens when a person experiences an interview for the first time. They just know that any kind of question can be asked from them and this fact makes them to panic. It is a fact that any question regarding their background, family, religion, career, interests, etc can be asked. But generally all these questions are not asked in a single interview. That is why on the basis of the questions asked these interviews are broadly classified into various categories. In common language these categories are also known as interview styles.

The Structured interview is presented with a series of questions that have been prepared ahead of time in a predetermined fashion. When a company interviews a group of candidates for a particular job, then this type of interview style is used.

The Unstructured Interview has a no preset fashion. In this generalized questions are asked from the candidates like telling about themselves, their interests and hobbies and their background. The person has to take control over an unstructured interview along with showing his technical skills to the interviewer.

The Stress interview is a unique style of interview in which the candidates who apply for a job are put into a situation full of stress and are asked to calculate a way out of it. This type of interview is used to recruit candidates when they have to handle a lot of public dealing stuff.

The Behavioral interview predicts that how much value the candidate would add to the company. An overall package is included in this interview, that is, the person’s skills, behavior, past experience and knowledge are examined and then he is considered for the job.
